The courts just now approved Fulton County Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis’ recent request for a special grand jury in her case against Donald Trump for election crimes. It’s now clear she’s going to indict Trump, and this will significantly speed up the indictment process.

No DA would take this step – against a former U.S. President, no less – unless she already knows for 100% certain that she’s going to have enough evidence to get the grand jury to indict, and for near certain that she’s going to be able to get the trial jury to convict.

The legal process still moves at the speed that it moves. So don’t come back in three weeks or whatever and insist we were wrong about Trump being indicted in Georgia, just because it hasn’t happened yet. The precise timeframe is less important that the fact that it’s now more likely than ever to happen.
