Fulton County District Attorney expands Donald Trump criminal probe

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has already made fairly clear that she’s going to end up criminally indicting Donald Trump on charges related to his attempt at overthrowing the 2020 election results in Georgia. If her December meeting with Trump’s attorneys was a major clue, then her decision to empanel a special grand jury was the giveaway.

The two big questions are how soon it’ll happen and who else is going down with Trump. Now we’re beginning to get more answers. Because of the way these things work procedurally, Willis won’t get her special grand jury until the beginning of May. Once she has it, she’ll be able to move full speed ahead against Trump and whoever else she’s targeting.

New reporting from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper confirms previous reports that Willis is also targeting Rudy Giuliani and Lindsey Graham for election crimes. It also reveals that Willis is expanding her probe to include the sixteen Republicans who falsely claimed to be 2020 electors representing Georgia.

This is important for a couple reasons. First, it demonstrates that Willis intends to take down everyone in her jurisdiction who was involved with the criminal plot to overthrow the 2020 election. Second, by busting all of these fake electors and such, Willis is putting herself in position to pressure one or more of them to flip on Donald Trump. Having an inside cooperating witness is always key to making certain you’re going to get a conviction at trial.
