When a storm comes to town, it can bring great destruction. And sometimes, the debris catches people off, guard. That is precisely what has happened to some Republicans, and some Fox News hosts have had a massive meltdown over this storm — even though Republicans are the storm bringers.

This began quite a while ago. All over the country but particularly in red states, books are being banned, erased, yanked, and forbidden. But now the joke’s on them. I am sure when some Republicans started on their insane quest to eliminate books, they never thought that it would come back to haunt them, only that is precisely what has happened.

In Texas, a certain book has disappeared from one Texas school district. It has seemingly vanished, caught up in the book ban storm that’s come to the lone star state. That book is the Bible. Uh-oh.

This district is launching a review of its books. And the Bible has been temporarily removed along with other books. And Republicans, most notably Fox pundits, aren’t happy. Hosts of Fox show, Outnumbered, were quick to defend the Bible, arguing the ONLY books that should be removed are ones that have gay and transgender themes.

Way to show your homophobia, Fox pundits. And Kayleigh McEnany appeared especially heartbroken, saying, “The Bible, the most read book in human history!” Co-Host Emily Compagno chimed in, apparently not understanding the irony of her words:

“What’s so difficult to digest here is that the whim of a few has such an impact on the many,” the clueless co-host said. “This is literature,” she said. “Yet someone else said we’re going to review it again; all of a sudden, it’s back under review.” Self-analysis is NOT a gift many at Fox have. “Every day without the Bible is a day lost.”

I say every day without “The Diary of Anne Frank,” “The nowhere girls,” and “The bluest eye” is a day lost. I ALSO say you all need to shut up.

Because YOU and your hate network CAUSED this — you helped bring the storm to us. And now that the storm has turned its eye on you, you shriek like the snowflakes you are. The bottom line is this: no work of literature should be banned. EVER. And if you vote — and tell others to do the same — none will be.
