Fox News hits a whole new low

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The GOP loves to instill fear in their voters. That we know. Remember the imaginary caravans, the people coming to take guns, the evil of Halloween. This last one you may not have heard about. And yet it’s true. War on Halloween has been launched as the GOP’s latest feat-mongering tool.

And this war is being propelled by the leader in lies — Fox non-news, of course. Fox has managed to work themselves into a state of hysteria about the upcoming holiday. Some Fox non-pundits are even demanding an end to Halloween activities.

This all has to do with the DRUG Enforcement Agency issuing a wanting in August about Fentanyl being marketed to kids in the form of brightly colored pills. Now obviously, one should take ANY warning about Fentanyl seriously. It is a horrible drug that has cost many lives.

But Fox took things a bit far, suggesting that all parents should be in a state of panic this Halloween. Of course, pundits like Fox’s Jeanine Pirro and Brian Kilmeade jumped on board immediately, eager to blame President Biden for pretty much anything.

Pirro said this about Halloween: “Young children now are going out to trick-or-treat. I mean, basically, parents have a decision to make. You don’t let your kids get that candy.”

“You throw away all the nerds”! Jessie Watters exclaimed. Dana Perino agreed. “Or you decide there’s not going to be a massive Halloween parading.”

Have you noticed, friends and readers, that these deep parental fears only ever surface right before an election? And it makes one wonder. What about the other months and years? How can these imaginary fears only exist a month or two before the election? Where do these caravans, evil gun stealers, and Halloween maniacs go when there ISN’T an election?

Nowhere. Because they exist only in the minds of crazed republicans eager to get out the vote. Of course, children need to be careful on Halloween. But the continuous “wars” on everything by Republicans really do go too far.
