Donald Trump goes berserk as Fox News starts betting on his downfall

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Fox News thinks its audience is at least incrementally sick of Donald Trump’s antics, and it’s increasingly betting that Trump isn’t going to survive this. That’s the only way to interpret the decision by Fox executives to allow on-air personalities like Chris Wallace and Andrew Napolitano to increasingly kick Trump around, even as the network starts to book more Democratic members of Congress for interviews. Trump sees what’s happening, and he’s going out of his mind over it.

Trump posted this tweet, giving away that he knows Fox News is hedging its bets against him: “Both Commiecast MSNBC & Fake News CNN are watching their Ratings TANK. Fredo on CNN is dying. Don’t know why Fox News wants to be more like them? They’ll all die together as other outlets take their place. Only pro Trump Fox shows do well. Rest are nothing. How’s Shep doing?”

To be clear, the anti-Trump Fox shows do plenty well in the ratings as well. And Fox News reportedly begged Shep Smith to stay; he ended up leaving because the network asked him to stop calling out dishonest colleague Sean Hannity. But Trump just kept going with the whining: “Hard to believe that Fox News will be interviewing sleazebag & totally discredited former FBI Director James Comey, & also corrupt politician Adam “Shifty” Schiff. Fox is trying sooo hard to be politically correct, and yet they were totally shut out from the failed Dem debates!” Nice try, Trump. Fox just isn’t that into you anymore.
