Donald Trump goes berserk and attacks Fox News as everything falls apart for him today
Attorney General Bill Barr failed to get Roger Stone a new trial today, as the judge in the case went ahead and sentenced Stone to prison instead. The forty month sentence was right in line with the middle-of-the-road sentences that this judge always hands out, meaning Barr’s antics didn’t even get Stone’s sentence reduced.
Trump then announced that he’s not going to pardon Roger Stone at this time, and he instead urged Stone to push forward with the appeals process. Translation: he’s going to let Stone rot, at least until after the election, because pardons of co-conspirators are a big risk. Of course Trump has to blame someone for the bad day he’s having, so he’s blaming… Fox News? Yep:
Could somebody at @foxnews please explain to Trump hater A.B. Stoddard (zero talent!) and @TeamCavuto, that I won every one of my debates, from beginning to end. Check the polls taken immediately after the debates. The debates got me elected. Must be Fox Board Member Paul Ryan!

Wait a minute here. Donald Trump isn’t even focused on his Barr/Stone debacle. Instead he’s upset that after he taunted Mike Bloomberg for having a weak debate performance last night, some pundits on Fox News pointed out that Trump did rather poorly in his own 2016 debates. Trump is focused on this nonsense, instead of trying to find a way to overcome his weak poll numbers and climb into 2020 contention.
