For whom the bell tolls
US economists are warning that the price of groceries already skyrocketing, could go even higher very shortly. That seems incredible to believe, but it’s true, and there’s a reason for it. The explanation given is because of the Department of Agriculture.
See, Elon Musk, working his tainted magic, laid off plenty of people from the Department of Agriculture, as Doge has done in almost every agency. However, because of these layoffs, much of the food supplies are not being inspected. There are inspection delays. This is putting a delay in our food supply getting to people, but many seem to think that people in rural areas will suffer most, which basically means Trump voters.
Right now, things are reported to be utter chaos inside the Department of Agriculture. Reportedly, it has been very difficult for the agency to keep things running smoothly, because of all the Musk layoffs.
“Decimated.” One VP at the Department of Agriculture explained that the cargo processing has been decimated, and that delays in getting imported food to the American people have begun to spring up.
And it makes sense that the people in rural areas would be the ones who might bear the brunt of all this chaos. “Local market wars over resources” is also a potential issue. In addition to ALL of this — farmers are at risk also, he says. And our food chains.
All of these inspectors were very much needed, but because of DOGE, who apparently does not care all that much about America’s food supply, these are all potential problems bubbling to the surface.
Look, friends and readers, farmers — and their crops — are the lifeblood of our society, the very meaning of the All-American Dream. We love them. It seems DOGE does not. The bell has been tolling much lately, as Government worker after Government worker has been fired. I’d really like to see — I CRAVE to hear it — to hear the tolling of the bell for DOGE.
