Trump White House completely flips out after news leaks that Mike Pence has been quarantined
This evening the news leaked that Mike Pence has been quarantined due to having been directly exposed to the coronavirus. This report came from Bloomberg, a reputable news outlet, and there’s no reason to believe it’s not true. The thing is, though, now the White House is suddenly insisting it’s not true.
The Trump regime is now telling NBC News that, no, Mike Pence isn’t in quarantine, and that he’s merely taken the weekend off. The Trump regime is insisting that Pence will in fact be resuming his full schedule this upcoming week, complete with in-person meetings. Wait a minute here.
It seems fairly clear that no one was supposed to know Mike Pence is in quarantine, and now that it’s become public knowledge, Donald Trump is objecting to the notion because he finds it embarrassing. So Trump has his regime insisting that, no, Pence hasn’t been quarantined. We’ll see if Pence actually breaks quarantine and starts potentially infecting people this week, or if this announcement is merely aimed at pacifying Donald Trump.
Either way, this is rapidly becoming a calamitous mess for the Trump regime. If Mike Pence remains in quarantine, it’ll give away to the American people that Donald Trump was full of crap when he said it was safe to reopen the country. And if Pence breaks quarantine this week, it’ll make for a huge scandal about how idiotically and recklessly the White House is being run.
