Comey memos reveal FISA surveillance against Michael Flynn while he was working for Donald Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Republicans in Congress spent months trying to force the release of former FBI Director James Comey’s memos about Donald Trump. They were hoping to use these memos to smear Comey and protect Trump. Instead, now that the memos have finally been released tonight, they’re legitimizing Comey, and exposing Trump as even more of a deranged and dangerous lunatic than we knew. They also just revealed that there was a FISA surveillance warrant against Michael Flynn while he was working for Trump, which is stunningly bad news for Trump.

Comey’s memos document a conversation between him and Reince Priebus, who was the White House Chief of Staff at the time. Priebus asked, “Do you have a Fisa order on Mike Flynn?” Comey answered him, but his one-word answer is blacked out in the redacted memo. I took this as a sign that it probably meant there was a FISA warrant, because there would have been no reason to redact the word “no.” But various people on social media have since pointed out that, based on the width of the redaction, Comey’s answer absolutely had to have been a three letter word and not a two letter word.

So unless you believe that Comey wrote down in his memo that his answer to Priebus was some ridiculous three-letter word like “nah,” the three-letter word in question has to have been “yes.” This conversation took place just days before Michael Flynn was fired in February of 2017. This means that the Feds were surveilling Flynn during the first few weeks of Trump’s time in office, and it almost certainly extended back to the transition period, and probably before the election as well.

This means the Feds were eavesdropping on Michael Flynn’s phone calls, text messages, emails, and other communications while he was working for Donald Trump. This means whoever authorized Flynn to illegally negotiate with the Russian Ambassador about sanctions during the transition period, there’s a record of it. Flynn has since cut a plea deal and given up everything he knows. These surveillance documents will go a long way to proving that Flynn’s testimony is true.
