On Monday, New York prosecutors let it be known to the media that they’re putting the squeeze on Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg and COO Matthew Calamari, suggesting the first round of criminal indictments isn’t far off. The next day, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner planted a story in the media that they were growing tired of Donald Trump’s antics.

It’s not difficult to figure out what’s going on. Now that indictments are coming, it’s going to be every Trump Organization member for himself. Accordingly, Trump’s own family members are now trying to publicly distance themselves from him, in the feeble hope that it’ll cause the District Attorney’s office to somehow forget to indict them while it’s indicting Trump.

Michael Cohen, who knows the Trump family all too well, tweeted this in response to the news: “As Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump, and Jared Kushner’s relationship strain, you can bet that Donald will throw Jared “under the bus” as the DA’s case heats up! Stay tuned folks…family fireworks about to be ignited for our viewing entertainment!!!”

So there you have it. Now that Weisselberg and Calamari are being pressured to flip on the Trump family with the threat of impending criminal indictment, Trump family members are trying to throw Donald Trump under the bus. In return, Donald Trump will surely become resentful and use it as an excuse to throw those family members under the bus. Cohen is right. Fireworks are coming – and some or all members of the Trump family are about to get burned.
