Donald Trump is setting himself on fire

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump’s catastrophically failed reign has led to hundreds of thousands of dead Americans, a broken economy, and a total mess. The entire country is metaphorically on fire, and in some states it’s literally on fire. So it’s perhaps darkly fitting that Trump seems intent on ending this by setting himself on fire.

Trump is now holding rallies in multiple states, despite clearly being too sick and weak to pull it off. He appears to be abusing steroids just to make it through the day, and he doesn’t understand or care that it’ll end up killing him. He’s exposing his own voters to coronavirus, meaning some of them will be too sick (or dead) to vote by election day, and again he doesn’t understand or doesn’t care. He’s tweeting insults at the senior citizen voters he needs to win over the most, because he’s just that far gone.

Donald Trump is setting himself on fire right in front of our eyes. That doesn’t mean he’ll automatically lose; it just means that he’s (wittingly or unwittingly) trying to lose. It’s still up to us to work hard on voter turnout and make sure we run up the score, to overcome all the chaos and variables floating around. But wow is Trump ever trying to take himself down before we can.
