This suggests that Trump’s strategy – if it was a strategy at all – backfired on him. Instead of making you too sick of politics to keep fighting against him, Trump’s debate performance motivated you to send more of your money to Joe Biden than ever.
This is important, because more money for Biden translates to more TV ads in the closing stretch, greater reach into borderline swing states, and more down ballot support. It’s also important because it’s an indicator that you’re more willing than ever to do what it takes to finish Trump off.
