Fear and loathing in Donald Trump’s White House

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Welcome to the era of Fear and Loathing in the White House. The next stop on our road trip is the release of Bob Woodward’s new tell-all book, titled “Fear: Trump in the White House.” Woodward is half of the duo famous for taking down Richard Nixon. He and Carl Bernstein were the journalists who broke the Watergate scandal. Woodward has won multiple awards for journalism and lends a more analytical approach to his narrative of the White House and its many occupants. Basically, he’s a Great White Shark who just dove straight into Trump’s cesspool.

Woodward’s new book is due to be released on 9/11, which is a loaded release date since Trump likes to rule with fear and is basically a terrorist, albeit an inept one. Not to mention, Trump maintains a constant state of emergency. Woodward has had the full cooperation of the White House since George W. Bush. The Obama Administration, for example, put a team in place to regulate Woodward, after Bob made it clear to the White House that they could co-operate with him and his book by giving their input, or they could ignore him and get blindsided.

But apparently, the Trump Administration completely dropped the ball and did nothing to facilitate an organized approach to assisting Woodward, as the past administrations have done. Well, Bob just figured out a workaround instead, and got his book the hard way.

Given that Woodward is like a Politician Whisperer, we can expect quite the accounting of what life is really like in the White House with Donald Trump at the helm. The word “harrowing” has been used in the pre-sales for the book to describe the environment Trump has created around himself. This book promises to be a great read as well as a candid look at the true scope of Trump’s madness. If you are interested in reading Bob Woodward’s book, you’d better reserve your copy now, as it is anticipated to quickly sell out – kind of like Paul Manafort.
