Even as the impending Trump Organization indictments in New York are getting the most attention this week, Donald Trump’s consigliere Rudy Giuliani is also in worsening legal hot water. His home was raided two months ago, and a court appointed special master is in the process of sorting his communications and turning them over to federal prosecutors. Meanwhile, his law license was suspended last week. Now Rudy faces new trouble.

Over the weekend the Feds raided the home of a man who allegedly conspired with Rudy Giuliani to raise millions of dollars to produce a phony documentary about Hunter Biden. It’s not clear whether the raid is a part of the Giuliani investigation, or a separate criminal investigation. But either way it’s not good for Rudy.

If this raid is part of the Rudy Giuliani investigation, then it means it’s expanded to include a growing list of his associates with ties to the phony Biden-Ukraine scandal. And even if this particular Giuliani associate has been raided for unrelated reasons, it still means he’s facing criminal trouble, and the Feds will surely offer him a chance to flip on Giuliani in exchange for leniency.

Rudy Giuliani’s indictment and arrest are coming. That became clear once the Feds raided his home two months ago. You can’t obtain a warrant of that kind unless you already have enough evidence to indict someone. It’s just a matter of time until the special master has finished processing Rudy’s communications, the Feds put the case to the grand jury, and he’s indicted. Don’t ask us to predict a specific date; the legal system is too finicky for that. But it’s clear Rudy is going down.
