Fani Willis hitting Donald Trump and others with RACKETEERING charges in Fulton County

DA Fani Willis is charging Trump with racketeering in Fulton County according to a new report from the Guardian today. This is not a surprise. It looked like she’d been working up to racketeering the entire time. But it’s nonetheless remarkable. Career criminal Trump is finally getting hit with organized crime charges.

Racketeering is a complex crime with multiple components that must each be proven to a trial jury. But given how much time and effort Willis has put into this case, and how much she’s staked herself to its outcome, she must feel that she has more than enough evidence in hand to get a racketeering conviction.

We’re still waiting to see which of Donald Trump’s numerous co-conspirators end up getting indicted alongside him in Georgia. A member of the grand jury previously stated that more than a dozen people had been recommended for indictment. We’ll find out soon enough; Fulton County indictments are expected somewhere in the neighborhood of two weeks from now.
