Donald Trump is falling to pieces in real time

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

When you’re coming off a recent incident in which you referred to the “oranges” of the Mueller investigation three times in a row, is it possible to then make yourself look even worse? Now that House Democrats are pulling Donald Trump’s tax returns, financial records, security clearance scandal documents, the Mueller report, and Mueller’s communications with William Barr, it turns out Trump really does sound like he’s even worse off now than during his “oranges” day.

For instance, here’s what Donald Trump had to say this afternoon about, well, whatever he’s talking about in this tweet: “The press is doing everything within their power to fight the magnificence of the phrase, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! They can’t stand the fact that this Administration has done more than virtually any other Administration in its first 2yrs. They are truly the ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE!”

Really? In his first two years Abraham Lincoln did the Emancipation Proclamation. In his first two years, Franklin Roosevelt did the New Deal. In his first two years, Barack Obama did the Affordable Care Act. The list goes on; a dozen other presidents come to mind. Perhaps Donald Trump could try explaining what he even thinks he’s accomplished in his two years? Except for when he’s falsely taking credit for Obama’s accomplishments, Trump never can seem to point to a single positive thing he’s done. But hey, that’s the fault of the media, right?

That’s okay though, because Donald Trump is still under the delusion that he’s in good shape heading into the 2020 election. His latest rationale for why he’s going to win: “I’ve employed thousands of Electrical Workers. They will be voting for me!” What in the hell does that even mean? That’s not how anyone votes. Come to think of it, based on his track record, Trump probably hasn’t even paid most of the electrical workers he’s hired over the years. If Trump were being realistic about 2020, he’d be focused on whether his criminal scandals will have finished him off before we even get to 2020.
