Donald Trump’s personal exposure to the coronavirus just became a whole lot more direct

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Over the past several days, Donald Trump has had personal contact with a number of people who themselves had been exposed to the coronavirus at CPAC, including Matt Gaetz and Matt Schlapp. But none of those people have come down with any symptoms, so Trump had only been potentially exposed. Now Trump is facing a different story.

There’s reporting out of Brazil tonight that the Brazilian government’s head of Secom is experiencing coronavirus-like symptoms. This guy was just at Mar-a-Lago with Donald Trump a few days ago. At the time we thought Trump was being reckless by partying with his cronies at his resort, because he had been potentially exposed, and he could have been passing it along to others. Now we know that Trump was recklessly risking letting others expose him to the coronavirus.

Again, this does not mean that Donald Trump has the coronavirus. But his exposure to it has now become much more direct. Earlier this week the White House insisted that Trump had not been tested for it. We wonder if that’s about to change. Trump is an elderly man in visibly poor health, meaning he’d fare the worst of anyone if he did catch it. By the way, this means the President of Brazil, a close Trump ally, has also been directly exposed to it.
