Donald Trump dissolves into “explosive tirade” behind the scenes as it all goes wrong for him
This evening we all saw Donald Trump give a listless, confused, half-awake performance when he addressed the nation from the Oval Office. It was received so poorly, the Dow Futures immediately started plunging in overnight trading, and are now down a thousand points. Here’s the thing. It turns out Trump is even more of a mess behind the scenes.
Donald Trump had what the Washington Post is characterizing as an “explosive tirade” this week when he met with Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin. This is notable because Mnuchin is his close ally. Yet Trump is apparently so enraged at Fed Chair Jay Powell’s refusal to make reckless economic moves, Trump is taking it out on Mnuchin.
So now we have a broader picture of Donald Trump’s current condition. He’s falling apart so badly he can barely even pull himself together to address the nation for ten minutes, and behind the scenes he’s prone to screaming tirades. At this rate, this guy isn’t going to last much longer.
