Amid explosive revelations from Senate Intel Committee, Donald Trump seeks new instructions from Putin
Last night the Senate Intelligence Committee flatly announced, in bipartisan fashion, that Russian President Vladimir Putin was trying to alter the outcome of the election in Donald Trump’s favor. If you’ve been paying attention, you’ve known this for quite some time. But it’s a big deal that the Senate is acknowledging this, particularly considering that the Republicans on the committee are signing off on it. So what’s Trump doing about it? Running off to get new instructions from his puppet master.
Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin announced awhile ago that their summit will take place on July 16th in Helsinki. But just two days ago it was revealed that Trump and Putin will be meeting one-on-one without any aides in the room. It was fairly clear that they were looking to discuss the worsening Trump-Russia criminal scandal, and that they didn’t want any witnesses to their conversation, even friendly ones. But now this new Senate report gives us some context on the timing and urgency of it.
There’s a reason the Republicans on the Senate Intel Committee are attaching their name to this report which confirms that Putin installed Trump in office, and that Trump is therefore Putin’s puppet. They’ve seen the evidence in the Trump-Russia probe. They know how ugly it is for Trump. They know how close Robert Mueller is to pulling the pieces together. And they’re afraid of being on the wrong side of what’s about to happen next.
So it’s no wonder Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin are suddenly looking to meet without any advisers in the room. They have problems that go beyond the mere fact that the criminal trial for Trump’s Kremlin-controlled campaign chairman Paul Manafort begins this month. The clock is ticking, and Trump and Putin both know it. For those wondering about translators for this meeting, Putin has revealed on rare occasion that he speaks perfect English.
