Everyone piles on over Donald Trump falling asleep #SleepyDon
For the past two weeks Donald Trump has been on public display all day, four days a week, for the first time in a very long time. It turns out he’s so far gone he can’t go more than a short time without dozing off and falling asleep. Trump is clearly getting worse, but he’s presumably been this bad off for awhile.
No wonder Trump’s own people spent the past few years ginning up a phony narrative about President Joe Biden falling asleep. It was their way of trying to deflect from the fact that Trump constantly falls asleep, even as they worked to keep Trump from being in the public eye for more than very short periods of time.
Now that the headlines about Trump sleeping through his criminal trial are finally breaking through, Trump (or more likely one of his babysitters) post this to social media today: “Where’s SLEEPY JOE? He’s SLEEPING, that’s where!!!”
What’s that even supposed to mean? No one knows. In any case, as a result of this stunt, so many people pushed back that the hashtag #SleepyDon began trending on Twitter instead. Trump’s people can try to deflect from the fact that he’s too senile to stay awake, but it’s not working.
