Everyone piles on after RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel crashes and burns

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

“Not NOW, Ronna.” There is something deeply wrong with Ronna McDaniel. Before I get into the weeds on this one, let me backtrack for a moment. There has been a significant decline in reasonable discourse and the polite exchanging of ideas in this country.

It’s been going on for a long time now. I see this type of thing all around me. The lack of communication is shocking sometimes. Many can’t seem to speak to each other and respect the other’s point of view. Instead, there are name-calling, rage-tweeting, interesting conversations devolving into cheap political talking points.

But many LIKE things to be this way. After all, life is so much easier for them if whoever their aiming their messaging towards doesn’t start to THINK about the meat of such messaging.

Ronna McDaniel is doing this as I write this article. She is the Chairwoman of the GOP. She is also the one who invented the charming phrase: “Ordinary citizens engaged in legitimate political discourse.”

Not surprisingly, McDaniel learned nothing from that incident. And as President Biden spoke to the nation about Russia and Ukraine, a remarkable thing happened. McDaniel started tweeting. And tweeting. And tweeting. She didn’t have much to say — except what a terrible person Biden is.

Her tweets were so venomous people actually begged her to stop. “Not NOW, Ronna” was the battle cry. “Not NOW, Ronna.”

But like a manic marionette, she ignored her followers. “What is wrong with you?” one person demanded. Her tone-deafness was noticeable to many, but still, she persisted.

It’s because of people like McDaniel that our communications are so dysfunctional. One wonders if she has one clue how off-putting she appears to be, and one also wonders if she’d care if she even knew.
