Everyone piles on after Marjorie Taylor Greene’s “disrobed” gaffe

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

We’ve all watched House Republican Majorie Taylor Greene embarrass herself time and again, in too many ways to count. But now she’s found a way to top herself. While attempting to defend Donald Trump in his New York civil fraud case, Greene said something so stupid that we’re almost at a loss for words. Well, she’s certainly losing words.

Greene tweeted that “Judge Engeron should be disrobed and thrown out, he’s a disgrace!!” If that doesn’t sound right to you, it’s not. She seemed to be trying to go for “disbarred” but then realized that’s a term for lawyers not judges, then remembered that judges wear robes, and landed on “disrobed.”

We checked, and no, there’s not some obscure second definition of the word “disrobe” that means the removal of a judge. It only ever refers to the removal of clothes. So yes, Marjorie Taylor Greene just called for a judge to take his clothes off.

Everyone is making so much fun of her for it, the word “disrobed” is now trending on social media. This has to be an act on Marjorie Taylor Greene’s part, right? She’s faking it, right? No one’s really this dumb, are they? Are they?
