Everyone piles on after Manhattan DA puts grand jury in place to criminally indict Donald Trump
After a criminal investigation that’s been running since at least late 2019, the Manhattan District Attorney has empaneled a new grand jury with the specific intent of hearing indictments against Donald Trump and others. Prosecutors only do this once they have enough evidence to indict, and grand juries nearly always return indictments when prosecutors ask them to. So it’s basically officially now: Trump is going to be indicted, arrested, and put on trial.
Needless to say, the people who have been waiting for this moment are more than a bit excited that it’s arrived:
Trump really wants to tweet about the grand jury now convening in NY to investigate and consider indictments against him.
He really, really wants to.

I prefer Presidents who DON'T have a Grand Jury empaneled against them by Manhattan DA Cy Vance. pic.twitter.com/EoRAfE6sXA
