Even Roger Stone now admits Donald Trump’s arrest is coming

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Roger Stone knows a thing or two about the life of crime, given his four decade crime spree, and the number of felonies he’s been convicted on. Stone also knows most or all of Donald Trump’s dirtiest secrets over those same forty years.

So it’s not surprising to hear Roger Stone now saying he’ll be “shocked” if Donald Trump isn’t indicted and arrested for financial crimes by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office. Of course Stone claims that Trump is innocent, and that the criminal case is all just one big conspiracy theory against him. But it’s notable that even Stone, who seemingly always has a fanciful explanation for how he and Trump are going to magically win, doesn’t see Trump surviving this.

Oddly enough, Stone is now claiming that Trump’s arrest will merely be to distract everyone from the big news that’s about to come out of Arizona about how Trump secretly won the 2020 election. So it’s clear that Stone is pandering to Trump’s mentally unstable lunatic base. But even so, Stone now appears to be suggesting that Trump himself is going to be sacrificed so that the Trump movement can continue. In other words, Stone is throwing Trump under the bus, in the hope of keeping Trump’s gullible base for himself.

All that said, we’ll be surprised if Roger Stone doesn’t end up criminally indicted again as well. His pardon was poorly worded and narrow in scope, meaning additional federal charges are possible stemming from the original criminal case against him. He also appears to have played a key role in inciting the January 6th Capitol attack, which the DOJ is still investigating. And Stone has a secondary residence in New York City, which means the Manhattan DA can go after him on state charges as part of its criminal case against Trump. Stay tuned.
