Even Fox News is admitting it now
For as long as 2024 Republican primary polling has been a thing, Donald Trump has been struggling to get the support of more than about 50-60% of Republican primary voters. Palmer Report has been pointing out all along that this meant Trump was in serious trouble, and that Trump’s base and the Republican base are not the same thing.
But even as we’ve spent the past few years pointing out these facts, there has been an overwhelming media narrative about how Trump had completely overtaken the Republican Party, as if every Republican voter out there was part of Trump’s cult. This was always easily disproven mathematically. But we suppose the “Trump is taking over” narrative is always good for ratings.
But now people are actually voting, and it turns out Trump really is as unpopular with Republican primary voters as the polls suggested he was. Much of the mainstream media still isn’t willing to admit this, but now Fox News is:
BREAKING: Fox News Contributors are now sharing their concerns about Donald Trump being unable to unify the Republican Party. President Biden on the other hand has strong control over the Democratic vote. If Fox can admit this, so can the rest of the media.pic.twitter.com/YHcz4Et5hg

.
When the mainstream media is clinging so tightly to a ratings-friendly false narrative that even Fox News is being incrementally more honest about the topic, it’s time for a reckoning. As a statement of fact, supported by polling and now actual voting, Donald Trump is highly unpopular among a very large percentage of Republican voters. The media needs to stop pretending otherwise.
