Even Fox News can’t protect Donald Trump on this one

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

he headlines are screaming. They may as well be gold neon block letters.

Trump praises Putin!

That’s what they all say. Wow. Even the mainstream media is covering this one!

And most of them are showing the orange traitor no mercy.

But of course, there exists a few non-news outlets that are resisting any negative feedback at all in regards to Trump.

Some of them have no idea HOW to cover this story — so they’re reaching for new levels of smoke and mirrors in their naked desperation.

The latest hypothesis comes from Fox Non- News host Pete Hegseth. And his take on Trump is not only bizarre but also rather amusing.

Donald Trump only said what he said about Putin to “troll” the media.

The giggles from this writer were hard to stop.

Appearing on Jesse Watters show, Hegseth argued his position earnestly.

“Vladimir Putin lives rent-free in the minds of the American media. No entity has done more to spread Russian propaganda and to prop up the straw man that is Vladimir Putin than our very own media.”

Right.

“Donald Trump was happy to troll them on it as he continues to do this moment because they can’t resist it.”

Really now? This is quite the hypothesis.

So let’s break this down. Would there be a new defense if a criminal robbed a bank and was caught? The criminal in question only did it to “troll” the Police because, after all, robbers live in their heads rent-free?

I suspect that if that WERE a legal defense, the Judge might throw the lawyer out of his courtroom — or call for a straight-jacket.

So let’s call Hegseth’s theory out for what it is. And what it is is a fabricated and dishonest pile of cow manure. It’s bullshit — just like Fox itself.
