Even Donald Trump’s favorite poll now says he’s circling the drain

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The Rasmussen poll is traditionally so hilariously skewed in favor of Donald Trump and the Republicans, polling analysts have long debated whether it should even be included in polling averages. Not surprisingly, Trump loves quoting the Rasmussen poll, because it usually says his approval rating is a lot higher than it really is.

But in the latest sign that Trump’s popularity is in total freefall, even the infamous Rasmussen poll now says that his approval rating is dropping. A month ago Rasmussen had Trump’s approval rating at 49%. But as of today, Rasmussen has Trump all the way down to 43%, with 55% disapproval.

Yes, you’re scratching your heads and wondering how 43% of the the country – or any number larger than zero – can still support this flaming idiot. But that’s not the point here. The point is that because everyone knows Trump’s popularity is in freefall, even Rasmussen can’t afford to give him an artificially high number.

Meanwhile, legitimate polls now show Trump’s approval rating dipping down into the high thirties. These kinds of numbers give Trump literally zero chance of winning in November. Our job is to keep hammering him while he’s down, and turning even more on-the-fence voters against him, in order to make sure his current pathetic numbers don’t rise between now and election day.
