Eric Trump just blew it
With Donald Trump having largely disappeared since leaving office, and Donald Trump Jr. having devolved into jittery caricature of his former self, it’s fallen upon Eric Trump to promote the Trump family’s talking points. The trouble: he’s still an idiot.
Eric Trump appeared on air with Fox host and Trump propagandist Maria Bartiromo, who absurdly complained about how President Biden has visited Delaware multiple times since taking office. This prompted Eric to launch into a lament about how hard his father supposedly worked while in office.
This is the latest reminder of why Eric Trump isn’t any good at selling propaganda. It’s one thing for Bartiromo to dishonestly attack Biden for something that Trump was actually terrible at, while not mentioning Trump. But Eric took it too far by outright lying about his father’s work ethic, because that forced the issue.
Now all that anyone can talk about on social media today is how Donald Trump had no work ethic at all and spent his entire presidency lazily hanging out at his resorts and playing golf. In other words, Eric Trump just blew it.
