Eric Trump has a whole new problem

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

From his forced testimony to the New York Attorney General last week, to his shouting meltdown on cable news this weekend, Eric Trump has been having a particularly rough go of it lately. Now things have gotten even uglier for him as he faces a new scandal that’s startling, yet somehow predictable.

Eric Trump scheduled a Trump 2020 campaign fundraiser at a gun shop in Michigan, which in and of itself feels like a call to violence, within the context of Donald Trump’s overall rhetoric. But now Eric has had to cancel the fundraiser because one of the gun store’s employees was “linked to the domestic terror plot against the state’s governor” according to local news outlet Click on Detroit.

That’s right, either Eric Trump and the Trump campaign did so little vetting of this gun shop that they didn’t know it was the kind of gun shop that would hire someone who was connected to a domestic terrorist kidnapping plot, or they picked this kind of gun shop on purpose and hoped no one would notice. These Trump folks are evil, and they’re not very good at it.
