Eric Swalwell slam dunks Donald Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump is having a rather bad night. We know this not only because of all the bad news piling up for him by the hour, but because Trump keeps unwittingly telling us that he’s having a bad night by posting one defensive and delusional tweet after another. Congressman Eric Swalwell, a rising star in the Democratic Party who is about to have a powerful role in investigating Trump’s scandals, decided to put him in his place.

Donald Trump posted this bizarre tweet, with the apparent aim of making himself feel better about his crushing midterm losses: “Does the Fake News Media ever mention the fact that Republicans, with the very important help of my campaign Rallies, WON THE UNITED STATES SENATE, 53 to 47? All I hear is that the Open Border Dems won the House. Senate alone approves judges & others. Big Republican Win!”

This prompted Eric Swalwell to fire back at him while showing no mercy: “You suffered the biggest Dem blowout since Watergate (an interesting parallel). Sorry snowflake, We don’t give out participation trophies.” This prompted one follower to send this response to Swalwell: “Just so you know, you’re basically Batman in my world. But like, Twitter Batman.”

Meanwhile, Special Counsel Robert Mueller is about to drop a pair of hammers on Donald Trump’s head on Friday when he releases the sentencing memos for Michael Cohen and Paul Manafort. As for Swalwell, he sits on the House Intel Committee and the House Judiciary Committee. They’ll both play key roles in exposing Trump’s crimes once the Democrats take control in early January.
