Eric Swalwell comes out swinging
Donald Trump has always been afraid to let anyone see what dirty and/or embarrassing secrets he’s hiding in his tax returns. Now that everyone from Congress to a New York grand jury is trying to get their hands on his tax returns, Trump is freaking out about it even more.
Here’s the thing. This Supreme Court battle shouldn’t even be happening right now, as Congressman Eric Swalwell just reminded us:
Most maddening about the #SCOTUS #TrumpTaxReturns case is that @realDonaldTrump said five years ago he’d release his taxes. Why can’t he — for once in his life — be a man of his word? Would have saved two years of litigation. Just keep your damn word.
