Robert Mueller’s newly revealed end-run for taking down Donald Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

While it has yet to be a full year since Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointed Robert Mueller as Special Counsel to investigate the Trump-Russia conspiracy to steal the 2016 election, Mueller has continued to ignore any “red lines” Trump originally claimed to have. Mueller completely ignored Trump’s demand that he not investigate Trump’s personal businesses and finances, and it has been reported that he may even be in possession of Trump’s taxes.

Going after Trump’s family members was also previously considered to be a step too far, yet Mueller is now known to be investigating Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump, and Donald Trump Jr. for a multitude of crimes. One thing never overtly stated by Trump that he would be against, but that is now happening, would be Mueller questioning Russian oligarchs. While this new revelation might not initially upset Trump as much as knowing Mueller is looking into money laundering and other illegal activities of his personal businesses, it is sure to upset infuriate Vladamir Putin, and as we have quickly learned over the past year, Trump will do anything to cheer up the one controlling his puppet strings.

So far we know that two Russian oligarchs have been questioned by Mueller’s team while in the United States, while a third who has not recently entered the country has received a request for an interview by Mueller. At this time the scope of Mueller’s investigation of the oligarchs is not completely known, but they have been queried on whether they funneled illegal money, either directly or indirectly, to Trump’s campaign or inauguration.

As we’ve learned, Robert Mueller is an incredible prosecutor and, while staying steps ahead of everyone, never asks a question that he does not already know the answer to. This would lead one to believe that, if he’s directly asking these oligarchs about monetary donations, there’s a good chance they in fact did so. American election rules forbid any foreign donations, so while this would be illegal, Mueller is either using this as a first step, or looking to catch them in a lie. If Mueller is able to either get one to admit their illegal contributions, or even get one to flip in order to avoid further legal damage, we could soon see some individuals very close to Putin becoming much more involved in Trump’s certain fall from power.
