Elon Musk is melting down in real time today
Unelected bureaucrat Elon Musk tried to seize control of the United States Legislative Branch yesterday by harassing House Republicans into killing their own continuing resolution and then swapping it out for another one. But thirty-eight House Republicans ended up voting against Musk’s resolution, making clear that Musk is every bit as bad at politics as he is at running social networks.
Now that Musk has made a mess for himself and Donald Trump, Musk is frantically trying to spin the whole thing. Musk keeps blaming the Democrats for the failure of his continuing resolution, even though it was the House Republican majority that killed it.
Musk is even going so far as to attack various House Democrats based on their physical appearance, accusing one of being a Hogwarts professor and such. Musk is also openly taunting people like Chuck Schumer, although it’s not clear why. After all, Musk is the one who can’t herd his own fellow Republicans.
Of course what’s really going on is that Elon Musk knows this whole thing is quickly blowing up in his face, and he worries that Donald Trump will end up blaming him for the fiasco. Musk seems particularly upset by the media’s characterization of Musk being the de facto President-elect and Trump merely being the VP. So let’s play that angle up more, and get under Trump’s skin so that Trump will kick Musk to the curb.
