E. Jean Carroll’s court case advances after Donald Trump loses

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump is still publicly pretending he’s “contesting” the election result, so he can continue fundraising for his election legal team and then pocket the money. As Palmer Report keeps pointing out, he’s going to need that money, because once he’s out of office he’s going to get eaten alive by the legal system.

Sure enough, E. Jean Carroll’s civil case against Donald Trump is now moving forward, after the judge in the case rejected the Trump DOJ’s attempt at blocking the case. To be clear, the judge was already heading in this direction even before Trump lost the election. But Carroll’s legal position is even stronger now that Trump will no longer be the sitting president by the time this case concludes, meaning he can’t even make a pretend argument about immunity anymore.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. Donald Trump will soon face criminal and civil action across the board as a result of his actions – and he won’t have the Bill Barr Department of Justice to protect him anymore. No wonder Trump is feverishly trying to fundraise right now while he still can; he’s going to spend the rest of his life hiring lawyers.
