Dr. Fauci slams Donald Trump campaign

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. This weekend the Donald Trump campaign began running TV ads which appear to show Dr. Anthony Fauci praising Trump’s coronavirus response, in an attempt at falsely painting Fauci as having endorsed Trump. But the Fauci quote is out of context, and let’s just say that he’s not happy about it.

The Trump campaign reportedly tried to keep Fauci off the air yesterday, but now he’s on CNN and he’s spelling out why he wants the Trump campaign to take the ad down, as captured by The Recount:

If anything, this ad is now backfiring on Donald Trump. No one outside Trump’s base was ever going to believe that Fauci had endorsed him anyway, and now the debacle is prompting Fauci to go on television and slam the Trump campaign for being dishonest. Trump’s pettiness isn’t helping him at all.
