Dr. Fauci comes out swinging

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Tucker Carlson has repeatedly attacked Dr. Anthony Fauci and real science related to the coronavirus, as Palmer Report has been documenting. Carlson has derided Fauci and other medical experts who have offered up facts and data and information and cautioned the United States about trying to get back to the old normal too quickly. The nightly attacks from Carlson and others on Fox have led Cult 45 members to threaten the lives of Fauci and his family.

On Friday, Fauci was interviewed by the Washington Post. In that interview, Fauci hit back at the Mother Tucker, stating:
“I’m not concerned what he says … I think you can say when he does that, that triggers some of the crazies in society to start … actually threatening me. Which actually happens.”

Fauci went on to state about the current situation he finds himself in: “I mean, who would have when I was in medical school doing things to save people’s lives, I’d have to be going around with a security detail? That’s really ridiculous.”

It is sad that Fauci, who is interested in informing the nation he loves about the risks it faces with this virus, has to have a security detail and worry about the health and safety of his family, not only from the coronavirus, but from folks egged on by the Tucker. Triggering crazies is sadly correct.
