Down the rabbit hole we go…

Many Republicans have chosen to go down the rabbit hole of no return. They are distinguished from other Republicans by lying and trying to appear genuine when they are the antithesis of genuine. At the top of the list as possibly one of the most despicable Republicans in politics today is Kristi Noem who shot a young puppy whom she deemed “untrainable.” Noem is obviously not an experienced dog trainer. Perhaps if she had sought the advice of one, the poor puppy would be alive. She has no shame about what she’s done. In fact, she’s proud. To show just how bad this was, Steve Bannon and Donald Trump, Jr. called Noem’s actions “rough.”

The Guardian discussed Noem and other Republicans and their “cruel phoneyness.” The funny thing about that statement is that Noem claimed that Americans want “authentic leaders.” Well, they won’t find those inside the Republican party these days. Ryan Busse, who wrote the article, said that Noem and other “political firebrands” are anything but authentic and that their brand is “simply a veneer-a fake, stylized brand of dangerous Trump Republicanism whose moral roots are about as deep as a bad facelift.” Noem has obviously won no friends among animal lovers, her local shelter, and her local paper or anyone with any type of heart and feelings. Noem is not alone in what my nephew would call her “fiffery,” which basically means you’re full of it.

Busse also called out Greg Gianforte, who is the Republican governor of Montana. Gianforte registered a cattle brand, but he owns no cattle. He also takes agricultural tax exemptions but does not run a ranch or farm. He’s just another Republican grift. Like Noem, Gianforte killed an animal-a protected animal-a Yellowstone wolf that was wearing a radio collar. According to the Guardian, he had planned to stuff and display the wolf. Instead, he had to lie to investigators, just as he lied back in 2017 after he body-slammed a reporter. Yet, Gianforte would have his constituents believe that he’s some rugged Montana mountain man when he spends most of his time of front of a computer. He’s just another fake Republican liar who has no business representing anyone. They lie, cheat, and steal, and Trump is the worst of them all.

According to HuffPost, Trump is now circulating his own conspiracy theory about campus protests across the nation. If you want Trump’s take on things, these protests have been organized to cover the fact that “millions” of migrants are coming into the country. He posted on Truth Social, inclusive of memes, that “the Radical Left Lunatics that are causing CHAOS at our Colleges and Universities are doing so in order to take the FOCUS away from our Southern Border, where millions of people, many from prisons and mental institutions, are pouring into our Country? Just askin’…???” Trump is the only lunatic here. HuffPost speculates that Trump is also using these protests to downplay the January 6 insurrection. Trump will use anything to try to distract from his own issues, but most see right through him.
