Down goes Andrew Giuliani

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Rudy Giuliani’s son Andrew Giuliani has lost his Republican primary race for Governor of New York, per Decision Desk. Lee Zeldin will be the Republican nominee. The Republicans were highly unlikely to win the general election in this race, no matter who their nominee ended up being. But it’s a real blow to Andrew Giuliani, who couldn’t even so much as win a primary race in the state where his father was once a political king. Team Trump just keeps finding a way to lose today.

On a different note, Lauren Boebert has won her Republican primary race tonight, clearing the way for her reelection. All along I’ve been trying to tell you that we’re not going to be able to vote out House Republicans in far right districts, no matter how hideous they are. In the midterms, we must focus on the competitive House races in competitive districts where we can actually win – not the House races where we hate the Republican the most.

Andrew Giuliani lost easily. Lauren Boebert won easily. They’re both idiotic far right Trump loyalists. The only difference is that Giuliani was running in a statewide race in a blue state, meaning he had no chance, while Boebert was running in a House race in a deeply red district. Not all races are the same, even if the candidates are basically the same.
