Double trouble for Mehmet Oz

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Mehmet Oz (loser, insurrection party, New Jersey) is currently engulfed in not one but TWO scandals. Mehmet has been strangely reticent in his views on abortion, sometimes saying one thing and other times saying something else.

But now we KNOW what Mehmet’s views are — because The Daily Beast has leaked audio from a May campaign event in their possession. And Mehmet can be heard saying abortion is murder “at any stage” and that life begins at the moment of conception. Uh-oh.

The women of the great state of Pennsylvania won’t like that all that much. Pennsylvania is not a red state. It’s not Mississippi or Arkansas. Mehmet will now have to answer questions about his abortion views. What on earth will the snake oil salesman say? But believe it or not, that isn’t the only scandal for Mehmet.

His campaign has now taken to regularly making fun of John Fetterman for having a stroke. I am not making this up, though it saddens me deeply even to have to write these words. The Oz campaign even mocked Fetterman in a bogus list of debate concessions it released that said things like:

“We will pay for any medical personnel he might need to have on standby.”

“At any point, John Fetterman can raise his hand and say “Bathroom Break.”

Brittany Yarmick, a spokesperson for Oz, has been particularly cruel, calling Fetterman a “coward” for not debating in September. Fetterman had put out a statement saying he was still working on some auditory issues. In response to that, Yarmick called him “whiny.”

This is one of the hardest articles I’ve ever written. I mean it. Mocking someone for having a stroke? Is this what it’s come to? There are no words. So I ask you a favor. Follow Fetterman on social media if you have not already. Retweet him.

And PLEASE, please, tell people — particularly anyone you know in Pennsylvania — what Oz is doing. Show them this article. Tell anybody who has ever suffered from a medical condition what Oz and his campaign are doing. Sadly, it’s come to this. Empathy is sorely needed in our country. With Fetterman in the senate, we will get more of that.
