Door number one
Somehow, a glimmer of realization has penetrated Donald Trump’s brain, and he’s realized that he is losing the women’s vote and losing it big time. That might be why he went nuts over the weekend and picked the worst possible thing to do. But let’s backtrack a little. Ladies, this writer asks you this:
What’s an excellent way to convince you to purchase a product? Is it:
1) Explain what the product is and what it does in clear verbiage.
Or:
2) Rage at you and lecture you about how stupid you are?
If you picked door number one, congratulations. You’re sane! Trump picked door number two — the crazy door as over the weekend he proceeded to bitterly lecture women, explaining why they should; why they NEED to vote for HIM. This may have been caused by a new NBC poll showing Harris leading Trump by 21 points among women.
Yes, Trump does not appear to like that. So, of course, being the type who ALWAYS chooses wrong, he once again decides to lecture and lash out at women. Let’s look again at how trump could and should have handled this. Let’s say two people were auditioning for selling Rose water in a TV commercial.
So — here’s candidate one: “Rosewater is a lovely delicate product known to balance your skin’s natural glow, ladies! And it doesn’t dehydrate or strip your skin! It’s delicate, smells and feels great and refreshes and tones the skin in so many ways.”
Candidate two: “You’d better use Rosewater. I’m telling you, you ladies will be miserable without it. Rose water’s the only thing for you, and I am here on TV to sell it to you. Once you have the rose water, all your issues — and I know you all have a LOT of issues — will magically go away, and your lives will be perfect. But call now, or you will go through life utterly miserable.”
Again — door number ONE is the right door here. But Trump doesn’t know how to relate to anyone, especially women. So he bullies, and he berates, and then he wonders why he’s over 20 points underwater with women. The answer is in the mirror if he’d only look.
