Don’t go away mad, just go away
Out of defenses, out of luck, and out of his mind, Donald Trump continues to lash out at others for things he did. He was indicted for trying to change the results of the 2020 election, which was never going to happen. It just doesn’t work that way, but you can’t tell Donald Trump that. The spoiled, rich kid that he was has grown into adulthood. Perhaps those behaviors are “cute” on a kid, but he is a grown-assed man who needs to act his age. Instead, he’s trying to worm his way back into the very office he violated, and the only reason he even stands a chance is that his followers are crazy.
Trump is a huge threat. Recent articles have been published that discuss his resemblance to other authoritarian leaders. Trump talks about the authoritarian moves he plans to make should he be reelected, and should that happen, life as we know it in the U.S. will cease to exist. Trump accuses President Biden and Democrats of doing exactly what he’s doing, calling Biden “the destroyer of American democracy.” Do people honestly feel they’ve lost rights since Biden took office? If they do, there’s something very wrong with them. When these claims reached Biden’s aides, they mentioned how Trump has proposed to fill his administration with “yes” men and women, take control of the DOJ so that he can use them against his enemies, and more recently, dismantle the ACA. So much for Biden destroying American democracy. That’s Trump’s plan if he can get back in.
Ammar Moussa, a spokesperson for the Biden campaign, responded to Trump’s comments: “Donald Trump’s America 2025 is one where the government is his personal weapon to lock up his political enemies.” President Biden mentioned Trump’s plan to do away with the ACA: “His plan is to throw every one of them (who receive insurance) off that legislation. If Trump gets his way, it’s all gone.” President Biden is right. Trump has never cared about the people of this country. He could care less if we have insurance or anything else that leads to us living happy, productive lives. He is an evil destroyer who consistently points his fingers at others to distract from what his other hand is doing.
Trump continues to claim that President Biden is behind the criminal charges pending against him. Trump set that situation into motion by refusing to admit he lost the election. He went even farther by breaking the law. Trump may think he’s distracting from his criminal charges, but two courts told him last week that he has no immunity based on his former position. When he tried to use that on Judge Tanya Chutkan, her ruling was clear: “Against the weight of that history, Defendant argues in essence that because no other former Presidents have been criminally prosecuted, it would be unconstitutional to start now. While a former President’s prosecution is unprecedented, so too are the allegations that a President committed the crimes with which Defendant is charged.” Trump had best be preparing for his day(s) in court instead of continuing to spread lies.
