Don’t believe the hype

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Over and over, the media lies. If there were a world record for the biggest liars, some in the media would come in at number two — after number one, Donald John Trump. Wow!! Most watched the speech ever!!! So many people tuned in! These are the artistically flavored shouts and cries of many media pundits. But, like all artificial flavoring, it’s not the real thing. It’s loaded with fake flavoring and false equivalency.

Sure, MILLIONS tuned in — for about half an hour at MOST. Ratings show viewership peaked for many stations at the 15-minute mark. By the hour mark, 21 percent had changed the channel. So you see, the media is hyping fake stories again. Will they ever stop? (No.) A radio host by the name of Dean Obeidallah said this: “Don’t believe the corporate media hype.”

Indeed, you shouldn’t. As many of us at Palmer Report have said, the media WANTS Trump to win. So it stands to reason they will hype ANY STORY that is bad for Biden, good for Trump.

The facts of the matter are this was a dull, agonizingly boring convention with male chauvinism as its headliner. Not many watched, and those that DID watch certainly didn’t watch ALL night. As for Trump’s speech, some tuned in out of morbid curiosity. But then they turned it off. They turned it off, likely horrified, something the good ole American media certainly won’t be saying much about any time soon.
