Donald Trump’s water boy betrays him
Once upon a time, there lived a very odd man. This man is still with us today. He makes an effort to snow people into thinking he’s one of us. He does this with a deceptively soothing voice and eyes often filled with artificial sorrow. The gentle man’s name is Bill Barr
Of course, he’s about as gentle as a piranha. Bill Barr is the proverbial wolf in sheep’s clothing. Yet I see him all over the news. Pick a station, and one can usually find Mr. Barr smiling happily for the cameras as he proceeds to talk about what a mess Donald Trump is.
And though I agree that Trump is a mess, I’d prefer it not to be Barr making the mess case. Barr, for years, was Trump’s faithful little water boy. He never tired of dutifully fulfilling whatever tasks the orange monster gave him.
Bill Barr messed with Robert Mueller’s investigation. He ran a Justice Department that was infested with trump sycophants. He also aided John Durham in HIS fake investigation of the investigators.
Bill Barr has a weakness, though, and that weakness is that he loves to be on camera. If one says: “smile pretty for the camera,” Bill Barr will. He never seems to get tired of his endless television bookings. Barr recently made an appearance on Face The Nation on CBS. During his appearance, he talked about how damning the case against Donald trump by Jack Smith is.
And Barr has taken to attacking Trump’s character. But I never make the mistake of thinking this man, one with the beady eyes, smarmy smirk, and multitude of television masks, is one of us. He’s not. Bill Barr is a sleeping giant, watching all proceedings with interest, weighing the pros and cons of coming down on a particular side.
His first thoughts are not likely of justice. And were Trump still in power and Barr still his AG and this case had come up — Barr would have done his best to destroy it. Bill Barr, the man of many, faces, none of them authentic. He’ll likely be around as long as TV bookers will have him. If you see him along the way, my best advice is to change the station.
