Donald Trump’s troubles are just beginning

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump has been almost comically absent from the campaign trail this week, with zero rallies scheduled in swing states, and his only public appearance in Montana of all places. He has JD Vance out on the campaign trail in his place, and that’s going about as poorly as one might expect. Yet Trump is still failing to make an effort to win.

The kicker is Trump is sitting home on his backside at a time when he could be out on the road every day, and yet that opportunity is about to disappear. Before the end of the month the pretrial proceedings in Trump’s criminal case with Judge Chutkan are back on. And then next month he’ll be in court for sentencing in his Judge Merchan trial. Trump will also have to contend with the appeals of the financial verdicts against him, which get underway next month.

In other words Donald Trump is about to become fairly busy with his legal problems again. It’s about to become a lot harder for him to hit the campaign trail. Which is saying something given that he’s not really hitting the campaign trail now, when he has the time. What’s going on with this guy? In any case his real troubles are just getting started.
