Donald Trump’s thirst for losing

“Threat to Democracy.” “Enemy of the people.” I have lost count of how many times Donald Trump has said those words. According to Donald, anyone and everyone who disagrees with him, holds a separate opinion or challenges him is an enemy of the people or a threat to democracy.
“Harvard is an Anti-Semitic Far Left Institution.” Trump hung that label — or tried hanging it — on Harvard, melting down in spectacular fury because Harvard refused to roll over for him. Trump also called for the firing of the lawyer who represents Harvard.
This tug-of-war between asshole and Harvard has been going on for days, and won’t end in Trump’s favor. Why? Because nothing in fact, ever does end in Trump’s favor. Now, once a long, long time ago, I had the chance to see Harvard, and stroll its beautiful campus. A family member had applied there for college, and we were looking at many of them. Harvard is and has been, known for their incredible educational studies. Are they perfect? No, no college or institution is. But they have it above many other institutions in this way: they won’t lie down for Donald Trump.
Perhaps if Donald Trump had ever acquired some of that knowledge that many critical thinkers pick up, he’d know he’s embarked on a losing battle, and crossed a Rubicon that can only end in his defeat. Knowledge is something that has always seemed to infuriate Trump, and for that matter, MAGA as a whole. They regularly sneer at people who have knowledge, laugh at higher education, and deride the exquisite process of higher learning. Perhaps they do this because they cannot learn.
To “covet” means to desire that which is not yours. Perhaps Trump and his MAGA ilk cannot inhale knowledge, cannot grasp any aspect of this vitally important treasure that, when someone chooses to grab it , illuminates their lives with blazing light. Knowledge only changes people for the better.
However, for Trump, knowledge is a sunken treasure he can never find. His brain and the way it’s structured will not let him. Ironically, Trump constantly brags about how he is the best at everything when, in reality, I cannot think of ONE THING he excels at, except losing, time after time, day after day, hour after tired, aching hour. One would think the man would get bored with all the losing, but it seems inevitable that Trump’s thirst for losing will not be quenched anytime soon.
