Donald Trump’s “shot in the ass” meltdown appears to give something away about the upcoming debate

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The first 2024 presidential general election debate is inexplicably happening this upcoming week, and we say “inexplicably” because the presumptive Republican nominee is a recently convicted felon who’s fully senile and spends most of his time talking about getting eaten by a shark.

There are serious questions as to whether Donald Trump will even show up for the debate or whether he’ll make a last minute excuse. He’s already suggested that he’s going to demand President Biden take a drug test before the debate, seemingly giving Trump an excuse to cancel once Biden declines to oblige the drug test.

But now Trump seems to be giving something else away about the debate. During a largely incoherent speech on Saturday which (as usual) involved sharks and batteries and (as usual) involved Trump suggesting he was going to take his clothes off, he also addressed the debate. Trump said that he expects Biden to perform at a high level during the debate because, in Trump’s words, they’re going to give Biden “a shot in the ass” beforehand. We presume this means an injection of steroids or some other drug to help with focus and stamina.

This is revealing on two levels. First, Trump is giving away that he expects to lose the debate if he does participate. He’s already making excuses for why Biden is going to have a strong performance against him, which is stunning if you think about it. Second, is Trump giving away that his own people give him a “shot in the ass” of something before he goes out in public? If so, it’s not helping him.
