Donald Trump’s phony credit-grabbing just gave something away

Dear readers, we've just launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our PayPal Page or our GoFundMe Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.

President Joe Biden announced a ceasefire agreement yesterday between Israel and Palestine. If the deal holds, it’ll end up being one of the biggest pieces of Biden’s legacy. So of course, Donald Trump has now announced that all the credit should go to him instead.

This isn’t surprising. Trump is the world’s most egregious narcissist, and it’s somehow gotten even worse since he went senile, so of course he’s trying to grab credit from Biden. But Trump would have been smarter to keep quiet on this one.

By immediately stepping up to try to take credit for Biden’s deal, Trump is putting a spotlight on the fact that this particular deal wasn’t available until after the election. It raises serious questions about whether Trump’s close ally and literal partner in crime, Netanyahu, waited until just before Trump is set to take office so that Trump can falsely take credit for it.

Keep in mind that Trump’s increasingly reckless mouth is one of the best things we have going for us right now. The media is already looking to give Trump credit for all of Biden’s accomplishments. But every time Trump opens his mouth and yells some variation of “Look at me, I’m an idiot” it makes it harder for the media to stick to its preferred narrative. So by all means, Trump, keep blabbing.
