Donald Trump’s paranoia is now eating him alive
Imagine if we could tell when another person wasn’t telling the truth. This really would solve many problems. In the Jim Carey movie Liar, Liar, he was forced to tell the truth, sometimes with hilarious results.
But there is one method that many use. This method has a long and fabled history in Mythology and fairy tales. It is often seen on TV shows like Law and Order, and there has been much controversy over the years about its accuracy, and whether it really works. This method is called the Lie detector or polygraph.
The Lie Detector is quite politically relevant as well — because, according to reports, a paranoid Donald John Trump has been reduced to having his minions take these tests to see if they’re loyal. I kid you not. Now, many regard the polygraph as “junk science.” Often, it can give out false positives for lying if the subject is overly stressed. I imagine the acting administrator of FEMA might have been a bit stressed when this man — Cameron Hamilton — was reportedly given a polygraph to determine whether he was being honest over details about a meeting he had with Kirsti Noem were leaked to the press.
As I said, many professionals regard the lie detector as junk science. But the fact that Donald Turmp is actually ordering people who work for him to be tested for their loyalty does speak to how far gone he is.
Paranoia is Donald Turmp’s middle name. We all know that. Even before he became senile, Trump was notoriously mistrustful. I imagine this suspicion had something to do with the fact that deep down, buried within him, buried DEEP within him, he knew, perhaps subconsciously, that most of the people who worked for him found him to be a pathetic coward, and joke — as evidenced by what so many of them have said after they CEASED working for him.
But now, when one adds on the paranoia that has arisen from his dementia, you can see the problem. I would guess that Trump is hard-pressed to tell where his friends end, and his enemies begin. So, of course, that would result in an extra helping of insanity and paranoia. It seems our convicted felon does not know who to trust. With good reason. Let’s look at this more closely.
Look around you, Donald. See that man beside you, swearing fealty? Perhaps he’s planning to include you in the book he’ll write when he eventually leaves your employment. See that woman on Fox news, Donnie? Perhaps she is thinking of which outlet she’ll go to to tell them your most personal secrets.
I imagine most of these people despise Trump. Since he betrays others so quickly, that is guaranteed to come back straight at him. So, of course, this new “lie detector” scheme is bound to fail. It will fail because Donald Trump is a terrible liar — but some of the people around him are better at it. Which ones? Who? That is what the traitor is trying to figure out. But because Trump is delusional and very stupid. one doubts he ever will.
