Donald Trump’s “orange turd” moment
Donald Trump’s attorneys spent all morning viciously attacking Stormy Daniels on cross examination, and failing to get anywhere. Daniels more than held her ground. Not only was it a bad move for Trump’s attorneys in terms of the trial, it was also quite embarrassing for Trump.
At one point Trump’s defense attorneys asked Stormy Daniels about a tweet in which she vowed to flush the “orange turd.” Trump’s attorneys pushed her to confirm that the “orange turd” she was referring to was indeed Trump. This was part of an attempt at demonstrating that Daniels has been making money off her assertion that she had sexual relations with Trump.
But all this did was to introduce the term “orange turd” into the trial, and thus into the public lexicon. This was a years old tweet from Daniels that no one even remembered. But now “orange turd” is trending on Twitter right now, because of how much attention this is getting today. It ensures that political activists will continue to refer to Trump as “orange turd” for quite awhile.
