Donald Trump’s no good very bad horrible day

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

It seems that Wednesday was a red-letter day for former “president” Donald Trump, at least as far as being embarrassed goes. Both Daily Beast and Rolling Stone reported on his interview with Piers Morgan, who has a new show on Fox Nation. The show is set to air on April 25, and this may well be one time to tune in to see Donald Trump. It promises to be entertaining, in a humorous sort of way.

Rolling Stone called Morgan “one of Donald Trump’s most vocal advocates in the United Kingdom for years.” That advocacy might have ended during the taping of this show. Morgan’s show is aptly named “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” and as reports have it, Trump’s tantrum was certainly uncensored and will, hopefully, be shown in its entirety. The problem arose when Morgan repeatedly asked Trump about his claims that he lost the election due to “widespread voter fraud.” Morgan finally confronted Trump: “It was a free and fair election. You lost.” Ouch. That likely struck Trump to his core. After Morgan’s statement, Trump said: “Only a fool would think that.” No, only a fool believes Trump’s repeated, continuous lies about the 2020 election. Morgan point-blank asked Trump he if thinks Morgan is a fool, to which Trump replied: “I do now.” What an ass. In typical Trump fashion, he stormed off the set after telling Morgan to turn off the cameras and calling him “very dishonest.” Donald Trump lives in his own twisted world.

Rolling Stone described Trump as “glistening.” Perhaps he really left because his fake spray tan was dissolving like Rudy’s hair color did that time. Seriously, though, there is little anyone can do to displease Trump more than to disagree with him. Morgan wrote in the New York Post that Trump was already “very upset” because someone had given Trump a list of things Morgan has said about him in the past. Morgan described Trump as “almost foaming at the mouth and shaking his head slowly and menacingly at me, like Don Corleone when he felt he’d been disrespected.” Sorry, but it all sounds quite humorous. The vision of Trump, sitting there sweating and angry is almost too much to imagine. At some point, perhaps Trump will get that everything isn’t about him, especially when someone else is trying to make good press for himself. The two almost belong together, and it is quite fitting that they ended up at odds. That’s what sometimes happens when two snakes get into bed together. One of them isn’t going to enjoy it before the night is over, and in this case, that was Donald Trump.

To finish off Trump’s red-letter day, the Guardian reported that Trump’s campaign has been ordered to pay Omarosa Manigault Newman over $1.3 million in legal fees, which is certainly not the result for which Trump hoped when he sued her for violating an alleged non-disclosure agreement. It may be just a pipe dream, but one day, Trump should realize that he really isn’t the smartest man in the room.
